Recent investigation has been in relation to my grandfather, Edward Francis Cameron (EFC). EFC was fostered by William Kenneth Cameron (WKC) and Elizabeth Mary Ann Pigott (EMAP), until they left for New Zealand leaving Edward behind.
Based on family anecdotal evidence, we had always thought that EFC's natural father was WKC and mother a woman unknown. Results of autosomal DNA testing have not revealed any relationship with Camerons at all, in fact we are related to Pigotts and Coghlins from Ireland, so we now presume that the mother of EFC was one of EMAP's sisters. DNA testing has also revealed a previously unknown relationship with descendants of John Campbell/Mary Jane Savage so we presume that EFC's father comes from that line. The investigation continues....
