Occupation
Fifeshire Advertiser 16 July 1910 - KIRKCALDY BAKER INJURED Shortly after two o'clock on Monday afternoon a baker named Peter Barclay, employed in the Pathhead and Sinclairtown Reform Co-operative Society's bakery in Commercial Street, and residing at 29 East March Street met with a serious accident in the bakery. He was angaged at a biscuit cutting machine, and allowed his right hand to come in contact with the rollers, which drew it in to the wrist. His cries attracted the attention of his fellow workmen, and he was speedily extricated from his painful position. Dr. Curror was telephoned for, and after rendering the unfortunate man every attention, ordered his removal to the Hospital. Barclay's hand was so terribly crushed that it was found necessary to immediately amputate three fingers and a portion of the hand.
