Betty was predeceased by her parents James and Janet McGregor of Woodlands, MB; her beloved husband Joseph; her sister Jamesina MacLean and niece Charlane MacLean; brothers, Donald, George and Hector and sisters-in-law Dorothy, Anne, Roz and Lil McGregor. Left to mourn is her loving son Dennis (wife Maureen) of Gimli, MB; grandchildren Wendy Arnason (Trevor) of Winnipeg, Dennis Halliday Jr. of Gimli, Lisa Halliday of Abbotsford, B.C.; great-grandchildren, Aimie, Calvin, Ellise and Carlin; brothers Roy McGregor (Doreen) of Woodlands, MB; Colin McGregor of Winnipeg; sister Janet Waller of Winnipeg; sister-in-law Dorothy McGregor of Grass Valley, California. Gentleness, Kindness, unselfishness and compassion are only a few of the adjectives to describe her self-reliant nature. Betty was an elegant lady whose impeccable home was shared with any in need. Betty was a true matriarch for whom no family concern was too trivial. She was the cement that bound the family together. Thanks to the doctors and staff at the Maples Personal Care Home. Sincere thanks to niece Kim Tynski (Michael) for her countless hours of care and concern. Also thanks to special family friend Peter Sasley of Winnipeg. Viewing for family and friends will be on Thursday, July 16 (tonight) between 7:00 and 8:00 pm at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. at Lucxton Avenue. Funeral service will be held on Friday July 17 at 3:00 pm also at Cropo Funeral Chapel. Service will terminate at the chapel with cremation to follow.
