Staffordshire Sentinel 17 Feb 1941 Funeral of Dr. E. H. E. Coghlan Tributes at Longton Amid tributes of esteem, the funeral took place at Longton on Saturday of Dr. Ernest Howard Edward Coghlan, L.R.C.P. and S. (Edinburgh), of Moorville Hall, Werrington. Dr. Coghlan, whose detah-as briefly reportd in the Sentinel yesterday-occurred at the age of 60, was the fifth of the seven sons of Dr. E. F. Coghlan, of Longton, and of Mrs. Coghlan. His father was a member of a Limerick family, and his mother's father was also a medical man. Among his ancestors were pioneers of the pottery industry in Longton. Of the seven sons of Dr. E. F. Coghlan six were doctors and two of these - Dr. Wilfred Coghlan of Nottingham, and Dr. Spencer Coghlan, of Eccleshall - died four years ago. A sister if Miss Coghlan J.P., of Longton.
