We regret to have to announce the death—on tbe 27th of the past month— of Mrs Mary A. Whitmore, of Albert Street, West Brunswick, mother of Mrs Holt, proprietress of the Moe Coffee Palace. The deceased lady died of bronchitis, and heart failure. For about four months she had been complaining more or less, but still bearing up against these unsparing ailments. She was attending to her domestic duties up to within a week of her death, when she was compelled to take to her bed. Medical aid failing in her case, Mrs Whitmore's end was peace. Her life, like that of her husband, who is sorely stricken at her demise, was spent piously and trustingly in the assurances of her Saviour, and his promise to all good christians —of a happy ressurection.
Mrs. Whitmore landed;—with her parents—in Melbourne in 1848, when she was but 14 years of age. She leaves behind her two sons and six daughters, including Mrs Holt (Moe), Mrs Newman (Essendon), Mr. Whitmore (Warragul), Mr. C Whitmore (Brunswick), Mrs. J Stephens (Swan Reach), Mrs. I. Swanston and Mrs. L. Cronin (Windsor), and Mrs. J Barnes (North Melbourne).
Mrs. Whitmore was 73 years of age. The remains were interred in the Melbourne Cemetery.

WHITMORE -- In sad but loving rememberance of my dearly beloved wife, Mary Ann Whitmore, who died at 50 Albert-street, West Brunswick, on the 27th July, 1907.
Forget thee not, beloved wife.
For memory's golden chain
Will always link our hearts in one
Until we meet again.
-- Inserted by her loving husband, Charles Whitmore.
WHITMORE.--In loving rememberance of our darling mother, who died on the 27th July, 1907, at 50 Albert-street, Brunswick.
Dear is the grave where our dear mother lies,
Dear is the memory that shall never fade;
Kneeling together at Jesus' feet.
The midnight stars are gleaming
Upon a silent grave,
Where our dear mother lies sleeping,
Whose life we could not save.
--Inserted by her loving daughters and son-in-law, Alice and T. Newman, Maria Swanson and grandchildren.
IN MEMORIAM.
WHITMORE.— In sad and loving memory of our dear mother, Mary Ann Whitmore, who passed away at West Brunswick, 1907, aged 73 years.
Rest, dearest mother, thy toil is o'er..
Thou art not forgotten, mother dear,
Nor wilt thou ever be;
As long as life and memory last
We will remember thee.
