WHITMORE. — On the 8th September, , at her daughter's residence, Shepparton, Eliza, the beloved wife of Samuel Whitmore, of Warragul, beloved mother of James (2nd Pioneers, returning), Mrs. G. Le Guier, Underbool; Mrs. C. Le Guier, Nilma; Mrs. A. Weidner, Warragul; Constable Whitmore, Bairnsdale; Mrs. S. Payne, Windsor; Mrs. J. Walker, Shepparton; Mrs. J. Leete, Prahran; also Leslie Payne, grandson and nephew of the above, died 15th September, 1915. A patient sufferer at rest,
To a beautiful life came a beautiful end.
For she died as she lived, with God as her friend;
None in this world can fill her place,
Deep in our hearts her dear memory encased.
A generous heart and hand for sorrow's needs,
A life made beautiful by kindly deeds;
A smile that chastened grief by its warm flow,
A tear, not for her own, but others' woe.
