Name obtained from son George Kilgour’s death cert. but no other certain details. There were 3 Christian Barnetts born in Fife b/n 1797 and 1815:
• on 20/12/1797 at Cupar to James Barnett and Christian Wilkie - this would mean marriage and birth of George at age 39 - seems a bit unlikely. Also there’s a marriage of CB in Cupar on 2/1/1819.
• on 24/9/1815 at Kinghorn to Samuel B & Janet Cowie
• on 22 Jan 1804 at Kettle to James B and Elizabeth Dick/Dicks - this seems most likely on the basis of 1841 and 1851 census entries. Ages would be reasonably close and 1851 census shows birth in Falkland which is parish next to Kettle. Kinghorn is not next to either Falkland or Kettle.
