HOLT - SPRIGGS The marriage of Alberta Margaret, youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A. Briggs, New St., Morwell, with Allan Raymond, youngest son of Mr. and Mrs. S. G. Holt, Elgin St., Morwell, took place on April 17th at the Morwell Methodist Church. Rev. Eric Derbyshire officiated. The bride, who was given away by her brother, Mr. John Spriggs, of Benalla, wore a gown of white tulle with flower design in silver thread, over taffeta. The full skirt, extending to a train, was finished with a narrow scalloped peplum, and scallops were repeated on the Peter Pan collar and cap sleeves of the fitting bodice. A long tulle veil with applique of satin flowers was held by a Juliet cap and she carried a bouquet of white azaleas, roses and frangipanni. Miss Joan Robinson, the bride's neice attended as bridesmaid, her frock of pink tulle, woven with silver thread, similar to the bride's was worn with a matching Juliet cap, and she carried a bouquet of blue delphiniums, pink rose-buds and gladioli. The bridegroom had Mr. Murray Tanner as best man. A reception was held in the Morwell Masonic Hall.
